Football's Back

Autumn is officially here, and you know what that means...

FOOTBALL!

There are so many great ways to throw super easy yet simply fabulous 'tailgate' parties for all of your favorite team's games.

Gather the biggest fans you can find and the few items listed below and you're sure to have a Superbowl worthy time:

1. Beverages
Be sure to have enough for the full length of the game - running out in the middle of a nail-biter is never fun for anyone! Also be sure to have some non-alcoholic beverages on hand for both the non drinkers and for those that may need to take a break from the booze!

2. Food
Don't be nervous about what you serve. It can be finger food or gourmet, your guests will approve and appreciate either way as long as you feed them! Chips and dip can be very easy, and very fresh if you make the salsa, guac, and bean dips yourself. Or you can order out - pick your favorite restaurant/sandwich shop/burrito place/etc, place the order the day before and pick up well in advance on the day of the event. This way, all you have to worry about is the clean up!

3. TV
This one is pretty important, for pretty obvious reasons. But keep in mind that the game you want to watch might not be offered in your area. Being a Florida Alum, I know first hand that not all Gator games are shown on basic Chicago television. Be sure you have the necessary channel/package prior to all your guests showing up!
4. Friends
Let your friends know as far in advance as possible that you're having your 'tailgate' party to ensure they haven't already made plans for that game. Be sure to let them know what type of food you are planning to serve (in case there is an individual that doesn't like what you're having, they can bring what they want!). It is also a good idea to let them know if you expect them to bring their own beverages or if some will be provided for them.

5. Space
Make sure there is enough space for everyone to sit comfortably in a spot where they can clearly see the television!

Happy football season and GO GATORS!!
